หลวงประดิษฐไพเราะ (ศร ศิลปะบรรเลง)
          หลวงประดิษฐไพเราะ หรือ ศร ศิลปะบรรเลง เกิดเมื่อวันที่ ๖ สิงหาคม พ.ศ. ๒๔๒๔ ที่บ้านตำบลคลองดาวดึงส์ อำเภออัมพวา จังหวัดสมุทรสงคราม เป็นบุตรของ นายสิน – นางยิ้ม ศิลปะบรรเลง เนื่องจากบิดาคือ ครูสินเป็นเจ้าของวงปี่พาทย์และเป็นศิษย์ของพระประดิษฐไพเราะ ในปี พ.ศ. ๒๔๔๓ ขณะเมื่ออายุ ๑๙ ปี ท่านได้แสดงฝีมือเดี่ยวระนาดเอก ถวาย สมเด็จพระเจ้าน้องยาเธอ เจ้าฟ้ากรม-พระยาภาณุพันธุวงศ์วรเดช เป็นที่ต้องพระทัยมาก จึงทรงรับตัวเข้ามาไว้ที่วังบูรพาภิรมย์ ทำหน้าที่ระนาดเอกประจำวงวังบูรพาไปด้วย พร้อมกับสมเด็จท่านได้เชิญครูมาสอนที่วังคือ พระยาประสานดุริยศัพท์ (แปลก ประสานศัพท์) เนื่องจาก จางวางศร ได้รับพระ-กรุณาจาก สมเด็จเจ้าฟ้ากรมพระยาภาณุพันธุวงศ์วรเดช เป็นอย่างมาก หลวงประดิษฐไพเราะถึงแก่กรรมเมื่อวันที่ ๘ มีนาคม พ.ศ. ๒๔๙๗ รวมอายุ ๗๓ ปี
          ชีวประวัติของท่านเป็นแรงบันดาลใจในการสร้างภาพยนตร์เรื่อง โหมโรง.

Luang Pradit Pairoh (Sorn Sinlapabanleng)
Born on 6 August 1881. At Dawadueng Subdistrict Amphawa District Samutsongkhram Province. Luang Pradit Pairoh or Sorn Sinlapabanleng was a son of Sin Sinlapabanleng and Yim Sinlapabanleng. As his father owned the Piphat orchestra band, Sorn learned about Thai classical music from his father. In 1900, at the age of 19 years old, he had a chance to show his extraordinary talent by playing ranat ek, a lead xylophone, in the presence of Prince Somdej Chaopha kromphaya Bhanuphantuwongvorradej
who was so impressed that the Prince designated him as a ranat ek player of the Burapaphirom Palace. In addition, by the Prince’s benevolence, Phraya Prasan Duriyasap or Pleak Prasansap was asked to teach Sorn in the palace. Throughout his lifetime, Luang Pradit Phairoh composed a large member of Thai classical songs. In 1954 at the age of 73, Luang Pradit Pairoh passed away, leaving behind his beautiful songs which are still adored by Thai musicians and listeners nowadays.
His biography inspired the creation of a Thai famous movie named Hom Rong.
