ท่าคา เป็นตลาดน้ำเก่าแก่ที่มีการค้าขายทางน้ำมาช้านาน โดยจัดให้มีตลาดนัดเฉพาะในวันขึ้น ๒ ค่ำ ๗ ค่ำ และ ๑๒ ค่ำ และวันแรม ๒ ค่ำ ๗ ค่ำ และ ๑๒ ค่ำเช่นเดียวกัน สืบเนื่องมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน ตั้งแต่เวลาประมาณ ๐๖.๐๐-๑๒.๐๐ น. บริเวณตลาดน้ำท่าคา บรรยากาศสองริมฝั่งน้ำร่มรื่นด้วยสวนมะพร้าวและสวนผลไม้ ตั้งแต่ ๗ โมงเช้า ชาวบ้านจะเริ่มทยอยพายเรือออกมาจากสวน บ้างก็มาจากละแวกใกล้เคียง บรรทุกผลไม้ พืชผัก ขนม ของกินของใช้ ล่องมาขายสินค้าที่หลากหลายเหล่านี้ เป็นตัวแทนบอกเล่าเรื่องราวในท้องถิ่น สภาพภูมิประเทศ พืชพันธุ์ ผลผลิต วิถีชีวิตผู้คน ตลาดน้ำจึงเป็นตัวเชื่อมโยงอดีตกับปัจจุบันไว้ด้วยกัน เป็นศูนย์กลางการพบปะของคนในชุมชนและนักท่องเที่ยวจากภายนอก หลายคนติดอกติดใจตลาดน้ำแห่งนี้มากกว่าตลาดน้ำแห่งอื่น เรียกว่าตั้งใจมากันเลยทีเดียว ก็เพราะหลงเสน่ห์ของตลาดที่เป็นแหล่งซื้อขายของชาวบ้านจริง ๆ ไม่ได้สร้างไว้รับท่องเที่ยว สินค้าที่มาขายก็จะเป็นของที่ชาวบ้านต้องกินต้องใช้ กับผลไม้ตามฤดูกาลที่บางส่วนก็เป็นผลผลิตจากสวนในย่านนี้เอง
Tha Kha Floating Market
Tha Kha is an old floating market which has been scheduled to be open on the 2nd, 7th and 12th days of a waxing month and 2nd, 7th and 12th days of a waning month in accordance with Thai lunar calendar. It usually starts from 7.00 Hrs. when the locals take their boats carrying fruits and vegetables from their gardens and plantations and other vendors bring some food, desserts and various kinds of products for sale. Things on sale can tell some interesting stories about the locality, geographical conditions, way of life of the people, etc. Here, waterways act as a tie that connects the past with the present and a meeting point for the locals and tourists from the outside world. Many visitors are so impressed by the genuine atmosphere of this local floating market which has not been adapted or adjusted for tourism purposes.
